Hi Guys. The agonising wait is over. I am so pleased to be able to share with you fellow Patek nuts my beautiful London Saatchi gallery exhibition 5970g with Salmon/Rose dial. Words or pictures can't ever do this beautiful piece justice so please enjoy. I...
I am not an envious person but that watch of yours (and I do not even like the 5970 range) is stirring some new emotions in me! Enjoy and keep it safe! Best wishes, Sham
that my number one criteira when buying a watch is that it must suit my wrist both in size and colour. That watch of yours was made for your wrist Miles! I am pretty sure the same watch on another wrist would not have the same effect (on me at least Thank...
How many pieces of this sought after watch were produced? I was offered a 3940R London edition a fortnight ago and the dial was quite unappealing compared to your salmon dial. Thanks Miles.
A limited edition of three is almost unheard of in Patek circles. Thank you for showing the watch to us (unlike the other two lucky sods! ) Best wishes, Sham
matches the strap perfectly ! This combo of chrono function with PC is simply fantastic. How many pieces were made for this Limited Edition ? Cheer, Gordon
The 5970 is on my list as the best watch Patek has made in modern times - that is, the last 30 years. The combination you have is simply breathtaking and indeed very rare. Big congratulations! Cheers!
There are watches which have more and new complications, there are watches which need bigger budgets, BUT even with the endless budget, this 5970 with salmon dial is definitely the top of the top and number one for me in the whole horology world. It is pu...
New to this forum and been snooping around for a good couple of years now but its time to give a comment finally. Seen this piece in the flesh before at a Patek minute repeater event a couple of month ago and this is such a beautiful watch. True holy grai...
Miles - many many congratulations this is wonderful. I chased one hard, and my research was 5 pieces - but 3, 5 or 50 it frankly doesn\'t matter, it is such a beautiful thing. As for the dial, I have the London 3940 salmon/rose and they look very similar....
Nothing that I dislike about this maybe the only problem with it,Is that I can\'t get my hands on one Enjoy it in the best of health and would like to see it one day in metal,I am sure it will be even better. Best, Ahmed
First, welcome on our forum Miles I remember when it was quite hard finding pictures about these 5 pieces LEs and so on during the London Exhibition. We could have a look at a happy owner of the 5070 Salmon dial launched during the same event and reviewed...
Yes it had to be the prettiest watch I\'ve ever seen. My eyes just agree with all of it and so does my heart. Which for me in 20 years of watch collecting has always been my driving force. I wear every watch I\'ve ever had. But tell me please Mark there i...
I have a 5070J Re edition and i am very fortunate as well. I have seen one other one as i stated earlier at an event and the gentleman wore it also with great pleasure. Instantly while i spotted the watch i knew enough, it was the wow factor. Of all re ed...
Like i said u got a beautiful watch there and if they told u it is 3 then all the better haha. I can tell u i have seen 1 in the flesh, yours on this forum so we are on the lookout for mystery man/woman number 3 haha. Again, I can\'t get enough of the gre...
Absolutely beautiful. Wow that dial is stunning. I would love to see a natural daylight pic or even better in person sometime. Enjoy and huge congrats to you too. What colour to PP call your dial?? M
We like reading about what watches bring to their owners and this is a great story to live with you. About your question, I read at the time it was 5 pieces but as Patek didn't want to communicate about them, it was really hard to get reliable information...
........truly wonderful piece, my first Patek in 1996 was a salmon dial 5000R, a little lower in the food chain that this epic piece admittedly - Patek does salmon so well.
