Well, if I had to choose just one among these both wonderful timepieces it would be the 5131.
Why?
1/ Fantastic enamel dial warmer than the 5970 (at least for me). Gives a poetic side to this timepiece too.
2/ Useful complication if you travel a lot
3/ Less "boring" to adjust than the 5970 due to the perpetual calendar date functions (mainly if you have lot of watches in your collection and you want to set up a rotation)
4/ Both nice movements of course but I have a weakness... for micro rotors ;-)
5/ May be less potential problems rather than a PC + Chrono
Of course, it's just my own analysis and opinion. Whichever watch you will choose, you will do the right choice.

I kind of like 5970 a little bit more than 5131. The merits of 5131: 1. the enamel dial, which carries 99.9% of the value of the watch 2. the 240 caliber with micro rotor. I also like micro rotor when comparing to large, obscuring rotor like 324 caliber. ...

Yes, retail price from AD of 5131R is 60000 SFr. But I am referring to 5131J and 5131G, which can no longer be bought form AD now.
The market price (2nd hand price) of 5131J and 5131G is now similar to price of 5970 G/J/R. Thanks.
