.....of watches with this technology must surely be a certainty. Honestly, there is nothing out there as far as i can see that can do what this mechanism can do, and in a field as competitive as watch manufacturing, that is some advantage for a house like Patek Philippe. I would be astounded if Patek Philippe did not encompass other watches in future production with this innovation. Like i said, I really think this is a movement that will become historically important. But hey....just my prediction.
The bonus for me is that it has become my wife's favourite watch. She loves it. That makes me very happy.

......i think rarity is one of those things that I have never been shy of stating is a factor for me. It adds a certain something..... having said that, rarity in itself is not a decider. It is a necessary but not sufficient factor.

......we also evolve thinking over time. I know a really great collector from Munich who told me that just about every collector goes through a 5yr cycle and then a 10yr cycle Somewhere between 10-15 years, they become more fixed!!

Are you sized and in business? Though I had never sized / cut an Aquanaut, I performed the minor surgery on my own. All went well...though I did have my AD secure a second rubber strap for me 😉
I'm not sure if others agree, but based on my single example, I recommend cutting strap length a "notch" one too few on both sides. Gives you the flexibility to micro-adjust size or wrist position after some time on the wrist, hot / cold expansion / contr...
