Indeed, honestly a mix of several techniques is not so common even for these rare handcrafts, it was certainly a nice addition! Hope to show you in the metal one day, it's not even comparable to the pictures I can take ;-)

Yep, Boccadasse is a wonderful, tiny neighborhood of my hometown of Genova, located right on the sea. I just found out it even has its own English wikipedia page:

Thanks for the kind words, Patekova. In agreement re a difference between the 5x31 series (which I also love and own, with the 5131P) and these...both great artworks, but their complexity (and consequent rarity) obviously place them on different levels..

That's a great point regarding Suzanne Rohr, she's truly at the very top of her field and thanks to Patek (the Sterns in particular view it as a mission) this amazing form of art has not only been preserved, but become extremely popular👍🥂

Thanks my friend, the hobnail pattern on the bezel has indeed been welcomed by many collectors...it’s a new feature that so far is a peculiarity of the recent 5177G reference (vs. e.g. the 5089G)👍

Dear Prof, your cinque terre is exceptional. I thought all those rare handicraft (non-5131/ 5231) cloisonné enamel are pieces unique. Wish I can be allocated one some day.... my dream. Cheers, Henry
