Dear Friends, it's with enormous pleasure that I can introduce to you live Patek Philippe's STUNNING 2023 creations! The 2023 Collection features a total of 17 new in-catalog models, along with a selection of exclusive, out-of-catalog Rare Handcrafts! The...
Very nice novelties and it is wonderful that I have no more cash to buy any of them! But if I could afford any of them, the 5531G is absolutely gorgeous!
Yeah the clear winner for me along with the 5968r. I love the 5224r case, reminds me Of the old pieces but the dial is too cluttered for me and not a fan of the font.
Typically, this happens with a new Patek release *right before* everyone tries to source it.....so it will be interesting to continue to follow! Cheers.
I'm sure JPV is the artist's signature, I should look into it -- in the past, a few Rare Handcrafts of the same 7000 line were signed by Anita Porchet's atelier (the famous 'AP'), but I believe I don't recall this signature! Cheers.
But seriously, it's TOTALLY worth it for my forum and for such a distinguished and passionate group of collectors -- there's truly nobody like you guys here! Especially the Rare Handcrafts are often not available elsewhere for a while, so it's an even big...
Patek is an important brand…a cornerstone of most people’s collection if they are serious about watch collecting. I too enjoy discussion the brand here with fellow collectors. We’ve lost some old members over the years…of which I’ve had the pleasure of re...
I'm simply a man of my word, and it's an honor to share my passion, energy, and little bit of knowledge in this area both for our incredible members and of course for a Brand that is very close to my heart. The great success this forum has been experienci...
but the good thing is that this year i will save some money !!! Thanks PP Reason, in the regular collection some look OK but i go not get / like several design choices like : - The 24 hours dial on the calatrava - The removal of the GMT pushers on the chr...
That's clear .. dreaming costs nothing and i still need to recover from the last 5231 ... 90K€ is massive .. So, overall, even if i may seem to be on criticizing a bit i am in fact happy as i may not have a big dillemna this year
This new 5316 is close to the top of our catalog (MSRP is CHF 830k, which translates to well over $900k), but I'm very happy of the overall success, including models that many people will criticize but then -- I'm sure -- everyone will try to source (how ...
BTW: Prices for all watches including the new ones are today available through PP's swiss webpage in CHF for those interested.... this might be a glitch
I have no input over Patek's site, but a likely explanation is that, for the more rare pieces, prices in *other currencies* are sometimes determined at the time of the allocation (depending on conversion rate and other factors). Local prices are therefore...
An interesting line-up for this year ! Given the intricate enamel dial and MR function, the 5531G naturally is the favorite for me. The grandmaster chime with GR provides a very different feel and looks great. The one with emeralds and diamonds is simply ...
I anticipate to get a laugh that I don't appreciate Patek Philippe enough to qualify to buy the two watches I like. So thus, I'll probably have to keep my kidney! I was already thinking about how I would spend my dialysis appointments. I'd spend them look...
It's too bad we can't grow new kidneys as we get older! Should've sold more kidneys when we were young! And who is JPV in the enamel context? I recall AP is Anita, but I've forgotten who JPV is. This is the signature on the elephant dialed minute repeater...
I checked in the pretty detailed material I have for this reference and it's not indicated, so I should look into this further out of curiosity! Cheers.
PS: Seriously, I don't know which markets they will be allocated yet (the former is being offered as LE of ten pieces, the latter six), but I'd truly love it if you could get one! Fingers crossed!
i just can't figure out the lumed arabic strategy - unless it's just as simple as an attempt to make a gold dress watch look a bit sportier - but it just seems incongruent to me.
Also as mentioned previously it is excellent that WPS have the ear of PP and are involved in the early release of these watches and wonders. Thank you again Julian
And of course, Patek's assistance and constant availability has also been fundamental in order to serve as the forum Moderator in an effective way -- immensely appreciate their trust and friendship! Cheers.
However, striking a balance between tradition and innovation is never a simple exercise, and in my (necessarily personal) view, it looks like the current Patek lineup is being *very* successful at it! It will also be interesting to see how Patek's *sports...
Many beautifully made pieces. However, Patek seems to be further away from subtle beauty. This is the first time Patek new releases are not attractive to me.
While I (very much!) appreciate this more modern elegant code, I can totally understand others may not... Hope you'll find further releases that may appeal to you in the future! Cheers.
of all the standard production watches is the 5261R Aquanaut annual calendar. While denominated as a ladies watch (which makes no sense to me) it comes in at 39.9 mm, which less than 1 mm smaller than 5164R. The 5261R is one mm larger than the 4947/1A whi...
I appreciate your interesting and always thoughtful feedback on the new releases....as I mentioned in an earlier reply, even if this gorgeous 5261 in Rose gold is technically designated for Ladies as part of the 'Aquanaut Luce' collection, I agree its siz...
Virtually every collector will find one or more references to dream about within this year's novelties....so let's hope that many members of our great forum will have their dream come true! Cheers.
