I was very impressed by the works of art on display and the artisans/watchmakers. Hope you get it soon and we'll see pics on PPro. The minute repeater/world time novelty is my favorite. (NY at night scene.)

but I like more white metals and WG is on the third palace on my list after platinum & steel. WG tends to turn yellow so I would say that I'm always rather buying a non-gold watch. Steel is practical and platinum has a very special feel on the wrist. Best...

Wonderful report. What an unbelievable demonstration of skill and patience. Personally I would panic and start to cry if I was tasked with performing any of these arts.

Only a few people in the world can do wood marquetry. It's an incredible dying art.

It is a very educational exhibition as Patek invited the artisans to discuss about their work. That's very interesting to see they are not proposing only a one moment limited edition to make a marketting move once in a while but that it is part of their p... 

I found this to be one of the most meaningful parts of the event. Now that it's over, all I have left are some autographs from the artisans and a photo of myself with some of the artisans.

She told me that it takes in average two weeks to make one dial. If that is the case, the output of 5131 is much less than we generally thought. Let's believe in these numbers and we know that two ladies are working with 5131... They have also their vacat... 

I find it very difficult to extrapolate from the very few elements we gathered here and there indeed as the output can double or be divided by 2 because of a few details. I would say that it would take 2 weeks to make a successful dial (from your info) an... 

but this is not possible for coloring. Hence, I imagine they can gain a little time but not that much. Best, Mark
