I would go to the 5170G: I love its applied figures and its elegance. And I have to confess that I'm not a great fan of the 5960, I find it quite confusing (not convinced by the subdial) and the visible movement remains a 324 which is fine but not exceptional.

Which version of 5960P? If blue or black face, then I think you should go for that one over the 5170G.
I am looking pretty much to the movement side.
And when it comes to the dial of 5960P, all the dial colors are pretty nice. I love blue but I'm afraid that it's too shiny so grey and black are my options. Best, Kari
