That was exactly my situation. I allowed my self to choose one Patek last year. Hope to add a 3738J ellipse and a 5711 one day, but should I have only one it will still be the 5140 and I will be very happy to live with just that watch. /M

Anyway I would say that at the moment my favourite modern Patek is the 5140P. I think that the contrast between the glossy black dial and the diamond indexes is something out of this world. Best. ...

I think the chances of getting a 5131p are very good because guys in the grey market are telling me that the demand is not strong like the R,G and J and my dealer said she should be able to get me one next year so let’s keep our fingers crossed

Word is that collectors are not happy with the platinum bracelet because of the weight so don’t be surprised if u see a P version with a strap at some point
5070J is quite an understandable choice...
for me.... among the pieces I already own easily the 5650G. for a dream one watch choice, out of reach of course.... 2499P.
