1st INCOMING of 2022 😉😁
What can I say? Regret can be an expensive lesson but peace of mind is priceless 🤦
So here is the back story. I will try to be brief.
I was originally offered this watch from a boutique when it was first launched. Regretfully, I declined as I already had a 5164 Travel Time which is essentially the same watch in SS and without the Advanced Research tech. Didn't think I needed or wanted something so similar, something I have learned is definitely not true due to mistakes and experience.
I had multiple chances to rectify this regret but just could not get myself to pull the trigger due to the market jumping in price so drastically.
Fast forward to a few days ago and this piece was once again offered to me BUT thus time it came from a friend who wanted to use the funds for something much more important.
Maybe it was the regret finally taking its toll or the fact that helping a friend pushed me over the edge. Who knows? 🤷♂️
What I do know is, contentment / satisfaction has NO price and what the hell, it's only money 🤣
Being homeless chic has it's benefits 🙉🙊🙈

Congrats for making that move - I personally find it very hard to revise earlier taken non-shopping decisions when it shows afterwards that they were the wrong ones ;-)
Both motivations are understandable.

A real collector’s watch
Thank you for posting this excellent photo of the GMT gears & levers. For me the first impulse not to buy would not have been revisited, but I am glad you got your piece of mind in the end.
Congrats Justin on this 5650, in my view one of the very best Aquanauts! Its market value as you know is insanely high despite the 500 units produced, but I'm definitely in agreement with the end result of having this beauty in your collection! :-)
PS: Here it is on my wrist as I had a chance to see it again a few months ago, courtesy of....Patek! (NOT for sale, however, not even for me! ;-)) ...

You couldn't have put it better; life is too short, peace of mind and content are priceless. That is what money for (within reason of course). Rarity aside, this is a really nice piece. I would be happy to have this as my only watch.

I don't really give a FLIP if my watches go up or down. If people are so worries about about the financial ramifications of watches going up or down, they shouldn't be buying them in the first place. Much better investments in plain sight everywhere 🙉🙊🙈 ...

Makes perfect sense Miles. Not trying to say any different but we all need to understand that these are LUXURY items so NO ONE really needs any watch over 50 EUR. My point being, we should be buying them for the the joy and passion...
