Omega

*Still* new to Omega @ Purist

Hi all,

Thanks for all your kind comments to my post 'New to Omega @ Purist' below. I will eventually put up some user reviews and justifications on my choice of collection. But suffice to say I love big watches. Seems like the big cases from the yesteryears have made a comeback and are likely to stay for a few more years! Thus that explains my seeming penchant for large vintage Omegas.

Collecting vintage Omegas to me is much simpler than collecting vintage Rolexes. Somehow I feel it is easier to spot a fake Omega as opposed to trying to find non-so-genuine Rolexes. It is the same for me with Seikos - it is so simple to pick out a Feiko. That makes for easier collecting! And Omega is a pedigree in its own right - there must be a reason why Omega is synonymous with the Olympic games (and some say Seiko too!). Ok, ok, I shall stop trying to push 'my brands' for now. In the meantime enjoy my second instalment of my Omega collection.

MY OMEGA "MICKEY MOUSE/BULLHEAD" (ST 146.0011)
(slight water damage to dial)

MY "OMEGA Star Wars Collection" - "Anakin and Darth Vader" Seamasters (ST 145.0023)

I call this the 'light sabre' shot

MY FAVOURITE OMEGA: "Ploprof" Seamaster 600 1st Gen (ST 166.0077)

Will show you guys some of my favourite Seikos in HoME soon...

Cheers,
Elveez
