Seamasters are nice.

Dear Scholars

Got a 1967 Seamaster 300 from 1967, which was my first diver ever, and is much loved.
You might think it's a beater by the look of the bezel, but my beater (one of them) and high risk travel watch is the 1960 CK14390.

I bought it with that special deep nikotin patina, that appear to be an Omega specialty, but foolishly had is renovated (bad job).
Still, its a fine watch that may go on to a nephew, as the first hit.   Hee, Hee smile

That early TT Seamster you got Art is Fab,- just Fab smile

Yours
Jacob/Copenhagen

Seamaster show-and-tell time! . . .

 By: Dr No : November 8th, 2020-18:38
. . . let's see the Seamasters in our collections - divers, chronometers, and chronographs, as well as the more mundane. There are several in mine, all vintage. This one's a '56 ref 2846 . . . . . . powered by a cal 500 movement. It's a common reference, ...

#3 wouldn't have been possible . . .

 By: Dr No : November 8th, 2020-19:09
. . . without the help of Subexplorer. It's his as much as it is mine ;-) . . .

Thank you so much my dear friend. You discovered it...

 By: Subexplorer : November 11th, 2020-15:26
... and your knowledgeable eye knew what it really was. My help was very small indeed, and I was very happy to be able to capture this special piece for a special friend. Keep enjoying and loving so much my dear friend!! Cheers! Abel

Does this Seamaster qualify.

...

Absolutely, positively . . .

 By: Dr No : November 8th, 2020-19:19
. . . yes! Here's a modern incarnation . . . . . . of Omega's bad boy. In titanium, no less . . . ...

Yeeees!!!! [nt]

. . . to entering my collection. The mid-size AT annual calendar, ca 2011, cased in yellow gold. I would've gone for steel, but this image is all I have of the compact version. Thanks for sharing yours! Art ...

I used to own this vintage piece

 By: oyster case : November 9th, 2020-18:27
given your knowledge I was always curious about its originality. The crystal did have the etching and the movement was very brilliant copper. The case back was plain, no engraving which sometimes gave me pause. ...

Just noticed you may have been asking for an assessment . . .

 By: Dr No : September 9th, 2021-16:24
. . . of your Seamaster. My hunch is it's a ref 165.001. If so, then it's either one of the last made, or more likely, been serviced by Omega and given a service dial and hands. I don't believe the dial has been refinished. It is a bit odd, but the most l...

Also partial to black dial Seamasters . . .

 By: Dr No : November 8th, 2020-22:15
. . . and just acquired another, a '62 ref 14701. It's being serviced by my watchmaker, so I can't share any photos at the moment other than the seller's. Here's hoping you'll add an Omega to your collection in the not-too-distant future! Art ...

I'll keep an eye out for you, Nicolas. The reference number . . .

 By: Dr No : November 9th, 2020-07:43
. . .is 1470 0 . This one doesn't have an original dial . . . [photo credit: Chrono24] . . . but a proper example would look substantially like this. (The crown in this photo is not correct.) Here's another, in yellow gold cap . . . . . . but in original ...

[ ca '49 ref 2576 / cal 343] . . . but the seller is a good friend who wanted it back, so I let him take it back in a trade. He later sold it to someone else. 😕 ...

Could be a late '50s ref 2846, essentially the same . . .

. . . would be the 1000. [watch and photo credit: Leo] The 1000 is perhaps the only watch in existence that I would want to own yet rarely, if ever, wear. It's a beast, but oh, what a beast! 😋 ...

The 1000 is definitely one to own ...
