And against the CK2998 and the Race End Timer, well I think the Rail Master has a stronger character, is pure in its design and the case and lugs harmonize and twist together just perfectly..

The dial is certainly one of the things drawing me to the piece

Perhaps wait until 2019 as I'm thinking Omega will celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the 1969 moon landing. Even just from a business/marketing standpoint alone they must have a special Speedy Pro and maybe even a new line of Speedys waiting to be introdu... 

I will certainly keep a reserve for that eventuality but cannot keep Nilo waiting for so long And having two Omegas is not exactly sacrilege

Is mandatory to get a Moon Watch. The classic one. Simple, reliable and full of history. Some, the rusty "gang", will try to push you to a vintage one. Don't do. Maintenance can be an issue. Cheers, Nilo ...  

In spite of all its merits, historical significance and still very fair pricing, the Moon Watch simply fails to engage me emotionally. The head says why not but the heart simply does not follow. Now that’s a difficult one...

As you know I have given a Speedmaster Professional to my father for a birthday. I will in time get it back I suppose and that particular one will definitely come with the emotional component required

had to choose, i would pick the new Railmaster. All brushed. Beautiful dial. One downside, no micro-adjustment on the clasp. I do not understand Omega. The bracelet is so beautiful but they are cutting corners by not adding a micro-adjustment.

Now I agree with the above comments - Speedy Moonwatch and 60th anniversary plus the Seamaster 60th should be considered if not now maybe in the near future. These are classic Omega timepieces that should serve you well.

I'd personally go with the CK2998 in blue. Applied indices and Omega logo, (Correct!!) subsecond markings to 3Hz, and a solid no-nonsense chrono movement. Just that no clear caseback to see the movement...which isn't an issue to many. If you don't need th...

Thr CK2998 is pretty close to the Moonwatch, but i think the legibility is rather poor. Silver hands againts white dial and black panda subdials are not the optimal combination. So between the three option i will say the Railmaster. The speedmaster mark i...

I have been very happy with it and there must be the odd thread around with my experiences so far (didn't manage a review just yet). Can highly recommend it!
