ā€œNot a reinvention or a modification ā€“ completely new. A movement made by hand, able to chime elapsed times, thanks to a mechanical ā€œbrainā€, which merges its functions and senses which to engage.ā€

Doesn't it sound, too?

nice review on the fratello website. However, I didn't quite get what the chimes indicate exactly. "Elapsed time", yes, but how? Cheers Marc

Actually I think itā€™s an interesting marketing statementā€¦

They are not interested in competing with any brand in the $10,000 - $200,000 bracket or for that matter any brand period. Iā€™m sure they donā€™t care if they sell it. They are showing what Omega is capable of which is a priceless marketing lever. They have ...

You can charge whatever you want for it.

Very cool and unexpected from omega. Will be interesting to see this size on the wrist.

I'd sell my soul to afford one . . .

Incredible innovation by Omega

What is Rolex doing?

True

 By: Credor : October 27th, 2022-06:09
But Omega has put them to shame with this development. Perhaps they dont care.

Itā€™s not what Rolex do though.

Iā€™m also unsure of how to think of this for Omega. Why? Are there advancements here that will roll down to the consumer product? If not, then thereā€™s little point to this. Not that itā€™s not cool; it is.

Very impressed with this timepiece from Omega!

Very nice!

45mm, 17mm thick, and all that in gold. Youā€™d need to be Arnold to carry this one. Jokes aside, to my simple mind this (and itā€™s sister watch) seem super cool. Why did someone else not repurpose the chimes for this before? Now that we see it seems kinda o...

My first feeling, too.
