The ring should be the color of the markers and the hands and the writing on the dial for black dial Omegas. That color tension ring casts a light which pronounces the color of these gold items enhancing their appearance. A white color ring drains the color from pink or gold colored items. Your watch will look 10 times better with the ring I am suggesting--try you'll like it.
And while I am at it, you should never use an Omega factory replacement crystal on your Omega Constellation, since they are all high dome and ruin the look of the watch. The crystals delivered on the watch from the factory are all low domed. Find a low domed crystal with the proper color tension ring and you'll be astounded by the improved appearance.

Yes, earlier 2782s also had the printed logo but later ones (late 13 mill and 14 mill serials) tended to have the applied Omega logo. Cheers Desmond
