Bezel and lugs are still nice and sharp and the double-finish dial indicates earlier model within the first couple of years production. Note the crossed t in Constellation: that is an indicator of the earlier dials. Guilloche centre is beautiful and coupled with its early production, the fact that it is stainless steel, and the having a black guilloche dial, this piece is decidedly uncommon.
I expect your case number is either 2652 (probably) or 2782. While the beads of rice bracelets didnt come along until 1959, I think your SS model looks great on a BOR.
Any questions, just fire away, as there are a number of forum contributors who are well versed in these models.

Yes, earlier 2782s also had the printed logo but later ones (late 13 mill and 14 mill serials) tended to have the applied Omega logo.

I can just stay silent and admlire, speechless.
This is definitely my kind of Connie.

It had been in the same family for 57 years before I acquired it - originally a retirement presentation to the grandfather, then passed down to the father and then passed down to the son from whom I bought it. Unfortunately, the watch was in a bit of a sorry state but I sent it off to my trusty watchmaker and he performed miracles - a gentle clean of the dial, a light polish of the case and a complete overhaul of the cal 354. The result is one of my most treasured Omegas - completely original and with a known provenance.
Cheers

...but it's not a Constellation, but a US market Globemaster:
These watches were identical to the Constellation except for the lack of a model name on the dial and the word "Swiss", rather than "Swiss Made" below the 6.

If someday you have the madness to let it go, then you know that the Eiffel Tower will welcome it with dignity and happiness.
All the best, my friend.

I have some small things to show you, in the Omega world...
Best, Artie.

I guess, ultimately, its a matter of personal preference, but in my experience the tension ring is usually the same colour as the case metal. E.g. chrome or rhodium colour with stainless. gold colour with gold or gold cap.
I imagine over the years quite a number of SS with gold applied indices Omegas have had their tension rings changed at service which has muddied the waters a bit.

...a rose gold tension ring on an early Omega, but I know that rose gold dial markers do exist on such watches. Therefore, I would think that the crystal fitted at the factory would match the case, not the dial.
However, I see nothing wrong with using a yellow ring on a steel case and yellow gold markers if that is what you like.
