This Early SM 300 ( Am I right in the denomination ? ) is getting very high in my wish list, since I saw Mr " Fifty Quids " one!
I love a lot the dial, these pseical hands, and the thin and beautiful bezel.
Will have to find one, now!!!

as far as i'm aware, the lollipop hand was never a standard Speedy part

i think i can Jeff. i have several books on speedmasters including an excellent one from Japan. i've also read all the sites i can find and there is no picture anywhere of an OEM Speedmaster with a lollipop hand. the 2915 has a non lumed thin needle point...

Jeff, i stand corrected on the SM300 lollipops as i am more than happy to admit, but at this point i believe lollipops were never a factory part for the speedy. i've put a more detailed explaination in reply to MSNwatch. the best ref books i've ever found...

i think we need Bill to answer this one. i have searched every reference i have on speedmasters which is quite extensive and also gone through Chuck's site with a fine tooth comb and can find no picture or verbal mention of lollipop hands on speedmasters....

Bill if you read the thread you'll see there is some question on the lollipop
we all know it was used on the SM300, but there is a question on whether it was ever officially used on the speedy. there are some pics and owners like Jeff with lollipops on their 2998's, but none of what i would consider the definitive ref books like th...
