open the champagne: my 1962 Seamaster 300 wreck just came back from my watchmaker who knows my taste and got the message...
vintage but clean...
is that a 14755 or a 165014 ?
Cheers
Jeff
I have invited the Speedmasters to the SM300 welcome back party
and the thing has degenerated into an orgy ;-)
not sure about the second hand, but it goes round once a minute so what more should i be looking for
can mine join in, a couple of little brothers and sisters.

if you find anyone who can redo the bezel numbers please let me know.
best
Graham

....what a shame ;-)
I have forgotten to thank our fellow PurisT Joeyza : when he read the post about my project, he sent me some spare parts he had in his drawer after having his SM 300 serviced. There is - among other things - a complete set of sword hands for a ref 165024, but I was not sure if I wanted to take the sweep second hand from that set....so for the time being I think that the Rolex Submariner Lolipop hand looks good on my watch.....all the more as this exact hand shape can be found on some Speedmasters ;-)

as I have seen several examples of Speedmasters with "aged" lolipop hands.
But they are much rarer than the straight hands.
Concerning the Seamaster, I have just found this original Omega document that proves that hands similar to mine have been used on this watch

....the black/brown strap combo is outstanding. Nice job maintaining the vintage look and resisting the temptation to fuss around too much.
Enjoy and take my word on this.....don't wear in or near water!
and also for the kind words.
I will try not to jump into the pool with the watch ;-)
Cheers
