Cold weather? Perfect!
Dear Friends
It would seems that we are in middle of some record low temperatures in the north with lots of severe weather warnings/ blizzard and floodings ; We in Hong Kong are experiencing the coldest weather in 59years (so far!) with icing in high grounds.
Some of us went out for a hike and then hot cocoa this afternoon - I wore this watch, to pair with these low temperatures 
Had to stop to snap this WS with the high contrast dial against a grey and mild background !

Freezing cold, together with wind and rain is not something we are use to dealing with here, unlike your Alaska! I went with something really warm to keep the blood flowing. cheers fernando ...

Well, I\'m somewhere in that photo, but I didn\'t wear *any* watches today. Only time I went out was to get to the supermarket to buy fixings for dinner when Mrs E made it clear that I had better run some errands ;-) - it was actually quite pleasant out, ...
How true! it is rather pleasant, to go out to enjoy the cold crisp air for a change :)

Nice one on Lugard Road! I can see my apartment too... In fact I have only a short stroll up The last section of Old Peak Road but the only watches I was trying on today were in the warmth of Pacific Place!

. . . yes! One of 500 made for the RCAF during the war, and with the 18 jewel count version of the 30T2SC movement, no less . . .
Do you mean the inner caseback, or . . .
. . . the outer? Or possibly, both? David should be able to provide images of the external back of the case.
No military engraving that I can recall, Nicolas . . .
. . . but the uncommon movement pins the watch down conclusively, as far as I can tell. Easy to fake a watch; not so easy to fake an 18 jewel count 30T2SC!
There is no engraving on the caseback.
I understand that not all military were engraved. ...
