Omega

Back when yellow gold Speedmasters were in regular production . . .

. . . they were priced about four times that of standard production steel Speedmasters.

The current steel Ed White lists for $14K; using the same factor of 4, the Canopus 2915 should be priced at $56K.  Interestingly enough, it's priced 50% more.  So yes, it's overpriced as a commodity, but not ridiculously.  And the 50% margin corresponds exactly to the going rate for second-hand steel Ed Whites.

In other words, Omega is pricing the Canopus fairly.
