Officine Panerai

You've got that one right......

I don't like La Bomba (I can stomach the automatic movement but the "cyclop"? Yuck!). Matter of fact I don't like any Submersible. I'm a 3646/232/A9 type of chap. Also I'm a serious diver that uses a dive...computer...not Seiko/Citizens/Panerai Submersible's kind of watches... smile

Now that I have a bit more info, with 20K in the "piggy bank" the Pre-V and Vintage stuff it's way out of your financial capabilities, leaving you with a choice of a modern classic. A large number of LEs would be within your reach. The 372 (not an LE) is going to be an absolute crowd puller and with an enormous Panerai's DNA, how to pass up? A 127 could be a very nice choice too. For some reason, I can't see the...jump....La Bomba/232/190 as a possible one. The 232 would feel way too "dainty" after a brute like PAM 64... smile Should you decide I'm way wrong in my assumption, a 232/190 type model, wouldn't be a bad choice. Last, I would have a "look" at some T-dials (A1-preA/ A4/A9) etc. A T-dial has a fascination on it's own and once you've got one on the wrist, you're hooked, ask anyone. There could be a couple of destros to be considered 22A/22B or a 26A/26B.

There, my 2cents. For....serious....carateristics/quality/movement/rarity considerations, all of the other partecipants to this forum are way....WAY more qualified to "guide" you than I am.... smile
