Not unexpected

I think most Panerai enthusiasts who spend time on forums like this are traditionalists, which is why we tend to primarily see the 'historic' watches like the 372, 587, 000, etc with great regularity. The Due line likely appeals to the first-time Panerai buyer who knows nothing of the brand's history but likes the style of the watch and finds the other offerings too large. I would guess it will prove popular with that type of buyer but not with the WIS crowd, as evidenced here (and elsewhere) by the lack of discussion.

P. S. My wife adores her 512 so perhaps the Due line will bring more women to the brand as well.

It has been a while since the release of the Luminor Due "slim" line and I don't recall having seen one in here. It seems this new line hasn't really "lured" anyone of us. I am an old purist and the idea of buying a Panerai smaller that 44mm or with Autom...

My AD, good friend, so no bullshit info, told me the Due is going great, but to a new audience, men and women, that love the design and the small/thin profile. I guess Panerai is right in widdening its customer offerings as a brand can off course never su...

what you just wrote, goes right along with my first impression. I was in Florence for the launch of the new product. In fact I tried the one of Dr Bonati had on his wrist (I exchanged it with my 604) and found it rather handsome. I was pretty sure that al...

some day they will produce a version with a higher WR? Best, Thomas

Not sure

 By: Maltie : May 4th, 2017-12:32
That might happen as their customers are fine with the WR from the Due range

... and while I was admiring my 662 the lady manager showed the Duo to us. I must say that I was greatly and gladly surprised: the watch looks very elegant and classy, and though it is possible that it will not atract the average hard core Panerai fan, it...

You're also confirming my predictions....

If and when they'll get a 45/47mm, with manual winding movement, I'll buy one in a New York minute

Ciao Sergio!! They already offer the 45mm but with an automatic movement which you don´t like of course. I´m almost sure they will offer the manual movement in 45 mm too, but ...

... I´m not so sure they will offer a Due in 47 mm as they are playing with the offering of a smaller sized watch. I hope you´ll find a suitable Due soon! Ciao and a nice week end my friend! Abel.
