The price is, definetly, a reason for the lack of enthusiasm..
surrounding the 373 (although also the 21, as you know, was...murderously...expensive when released, in 1997, at more that 21Millions Liras=11K Euro). The 449 is definetly more...approachable...
but the "collectors" should have gone "goo-goo-gaa-gaa" about the 373. Instead you can find one...today...in every Panerai boutique, still hahahaha It's just embarassing :-) Ciao bello
The PAM449 doesn't seem to get that much attention too
because I don't see much chatter about this piece. I think this dial is much better than the Cali dial which received a lot of attention. Weird. - AT Panerai PAM449 ...
It's a lovely Panerai but just didn't get the love because of its high price tag

What do you think about the PAM 425?
373 and 449 are real beauties. What do you think of the PAM 425? I'm not sure about the logo in the lower area. Do you know if it has a crystal glass? Cheers Thomas
The symbol at 6 it's not a..logo..
it's an SLC (Siluro Lenta Corsa= Maialino=Pig). I believe it belongs on a Panerai's dial, the same way marmelade belongs on a...pizza :-) Ciao

because you CAN put in on a pizza, you just have to...like...the end result. After all, the Hawaian Pizza, with pineapple on it, it's a favourite of many a...foreigner (from the Italian point of view) :-) S.L.C.=maialino (little pig), because they where.....

It was sort of love at first sight for my 289 but the passion quickly diminished. Somehow the colour tone just didn't work well w/ the style in my eyes. Anyway, I had similar reservation about the 382 but the rustic look finally won me over... ...
