The appointment of a new CEO is never a trivial event but it takes a particular dimension at Panerai. Indeed, Angelo Bonati was replaced by Jean-Marc Pontroué a few months ago after 18 years at the head of the brand. A position with such duration necessar...
with excellent pics & wrist shots... over few days i was pondering over the Ivory dial - looks really different to Panerai ! i agree, it is a welcome change in Panerai's approach than following a series of relaunch @ historic models. merci encore Fx !...
As for the watch in itself, it is a cool looking one, with two interesting dials which have nothing to see with Panerai, in their origins. But the outcome is quite convincing, even if I have to see them in the real before any final judgement. Maybe a thin...
For a brand that routinely issues LEs in editions of thousands, I think any narrative or interpretation that these 2 watches might represent a significant pivot is overstated. They’re making a small amount and there has not been much marketing around it f...
The thickness, the plexi, i dont think that Paneristi dont like it. They like XXXL watches. Bigger is better, this Panerei too. A good question from Nico, Needs Panerei a new case? I really dont know, because this is the only strong design element what th...
pics, dear foversta. Regardless of the success or failure of the new 790/791, for me it is a first step in the right direction. Creating something new without loosing their strong DNA. You see these two models and immediately know that they are Panerais. ...
I prefer a "new course" to the systematic DEFACING of the original dials. I've often wondered what would have been the...original Italian production..like, if Panerai hadn't been sold to the Vendome Group. Would they have chosen to remain in a niche? Woul...
... Which I'm already hunting. It surely departs from the traditional Panerai dials, but the case still got the brand DNA and the dial is so charming! I feel it is a good move from a brand I love so much! I enjoyed your post so much! Cheers! Abel
Unfortunately I'm not a fan of this art deco dial. It just seems odd to me. If I had to choose between the 2 versions, I'd definitely opt for the black dial though. The ivory dial is too much for my eyes. Cheers, Anthony
This is Panerai reinventing itself half-baked IMO. The Rad 40mm case is just too big for a creamy art deco dial, making the watch even looks larger, hence, not correctly targeted to the intended segment of new customers with smaller wrist size (maybe the ...
Thank you for the very nice review and pictures. Men live of dreams. What would be of humanity without dreams? Dreaming is imagining what would have we liked to be. This is it. I love Art Deco, and I love Panerai. If other brands capitalize and get inspir...
for a great review. The watch seems interesting alas for the large size which seems not to match the dial. On the other hand it is better to judge it when I see it in metal. What I find interesting is that Panerai seems to hunt for a new audience, with th...
