Hi All I hope you enjoy the last set of pictures. To give the PAM 390 an even more historic look I decided to do a strap change. I guess this is where each watch has a chance to be personalized. This is one of the great advantages of the easy strap change...

All I can say is I was lucky to be sitting where I was hint hint. This watch lends it self to the vintage feel but then again all Panerai watches have that in their DNA. Best Bill

The strap. Thinner is always an option. I wanted to put this one as I waited two years for Piotre to make it. The color and no stitch combo helps to feature the watch a lot like the nato straps make the watch head pop. I will search through the other comb...

the first pic is very nice, the combination -aged luminova, brown dial, gold hands =great the 005 is nice too but man, what a difference. If the 390 came out at SIHH 2011 or next year 2012 I think it would be the watch of the year ! strange they kept this... 

But in the internet world speed of information trumps. Let's hope we can take what we learn offline to our collector friends who still do not frequent the hallowed walls of our forums. They should head the power our mighty hunt and peck fellow netizens ca...

I've read about..fake patina, thick strap that makes the watch...feel...like it has lived a life time. Truth is the patina is...fake...and the watch...hasen't....lived a lifetime. How does your brain process all the....fakeness? Cheers - Sergio...  

Tritium cannot be used anymore, so natural ageing cannot happen with luminova. Rolex have blue luminova, so why not luminova that have the hue of aged tritium ? Even for vintage watches with tritium, it turns brown when kept from sunlight and tritium gets... 

I'm into...originals. If I can't have one "old" original (naturally aged) I get something new now, that will...become...an original years down the road... Don't get me wrong, I had a 411 for a while and liked it a lot. But I didn't like it because of the.... 

I would not go so far as to call the patina fake more of an aesthetic choice. As dreamer8 noted it rather difficult to reproduce the patina naturally without the ingredients. But tastefully done with quality products it is a personal choice as to whether ...

I am trying really hard to resist as I have spent too much this year but it appears resistence if futile! I like the look of the faux patina with a nice ammo or PAV strap. Here is my 416 on Ammo...now this would look sweet with the 390...OH Cccchhhhaaddd!...  

Really like your 416 in general and on that strap. IMO the 416 and the 390 are too similar, you definitely only need one of them. Then again, for some odd reason I want them both too!

I wish one was enough but as you all know Panerai is an affliction and an addiction. Bill
