Last November, the crown on my beloved Royal Oak came loose. I still remember the short feeling of the sinking heart, but right after knowing it would all be OK. Just needed a service.
Look at the letter that came back with my repaired watch (and door to door in under 3 weeks, thanks again to AP Clearwater!) and what it includes:
1. A statement of specifically what was fixed
2. A sincere apology
3. An inclusion of a new 2 year warranty
And with it, my fullest confidence in their brand. I will enjoy my updated warranty, and if something should happen out of warranty and needs repair, I will pay for it. Sure, none of us want that, but mechanical objects can fail, we all accept that. At least I will be giving my money to a brand that cares about my continued satisfaction. I can fully live with that.
Just imagine if Montblanc had provided a fraction of AP's standard service. I would be posting positive comments, and I would enjoy my watch knowing I have good support behind it. But that ship sailed, and as I added in a reply above, I will be moving on from this watch ASAP.
