In fact, i was a bit disappointed by the SS version, I thought it was a bit too "quiet". I didn't feel any emotion on my wrist.
That's not the case of the PG version. The ivory dial, the PG case bring a very classy atmosphere to the watch.
My only concern is that I would have prefered an handwind caliber.
The following watch is the prototype (pics taken during the SIHH 2008) but they will give you a good idea.
Perfect on my wrist ! I would call it "quite thin" rather than "ultra thin". But it's better due to the diameter of the watch (40mm). It's totally balanced.

Has anyone seen the production model in the metal yet? If there are any new owners out there, please post pictures. I am eager to see this new beauty I noticed that Jaeger-LeCoultre recently updated their website to include the new Ultra Thin collection.

I think it will be a difficult decision, but perhaps one will speak to me on the wrist more than the other when I actually get to see them in person
To me it is one of the prettiest watches released in 2008
but I cant help but be disappointed. The 896 movement that powers this is meant to be a sub-seconds version of the 899 found in the Master Control sans date. It ends up being an even thicker movement (3.9mm vs 3.3mm) even though it is called an Ultra Thin...
