Would it have been nicer if they had adopted the latter date mechanism on the former?

The hand design on the calendar is compromised and prevents reading of the day and month. Ulysse Nardin did it right on the perpetual aqua, for example. Not as charming but more functional. I personally prefer their previous blue lacquered dials.

...with the date being the thing in question. Let's face it, these things are anachronistic at this point. Smart phones will give you all the info you need : )

Very nice shade of 'steel blue' from the pictures and the leather strap even looks nice. Just need to swallow the price...

…this two tone blue is very attractive. Although my French is pretty good in that I know “Automatique” means Automatic I confess I am beaten by “Quantieme a Date Sautante”. A little help with translation would be most welcome. Regards Kev.

As limited edition for no reason except for the colour. Which make us mere mortal very difficult to acquire one. I don't know any reasons behind this gesture, except as quick and easy money grab.

Along with ‘quantième à date sautante’ they could have added ‘cadran bleu, édition limitée’…

...the only tiny nitpick is with the graphics/logo (as usual for me) on the Master Control Calendar. But I can overlook that as they are really gorgeous. Even though I have a fairly large wrist, 38-39mm would have been better imho...

Like others have said, I really like the texture of the dial and the contrasting blue around the minute track. I hope the blue calf-skin strap will be available to purchase as well.

The color provides that perfect extra bit of flair that the standard models are missing.

I’d say the Arabic looks better with the date version makes it quirky and sporty but for the calendar i find them out of place.

This must mean we can expect new thinner ultra thin watches soon? Because their current ultra thins aren’t really thin for todays standard ha ha
