feeling pretty good about the world until I read this post and realized what I missed out on.... Fourth place for the Aston if I recall correctly - you must have had mixed feelings with Peugot across the line first. Brilliant post Amanico - beautiful phot...  

Looks like a fantastic weekend, though I must say I prefer the GT1 and GT2 categories to the LMP cars, particularly the diesels. No watches allowed in the pool?!

And was thinking the same! No mixed feelings, my friend, as it was vital for Peugeot to win the race, for the future races... And I'm very happy to see that Aston Martin wqs in fact the first Petrol car ( not diesel ) in the classification. So all is good... 

though the slide on the other side remain metallic (prefer it to be blackened as well) . Also don't understand rationale of changing style of hands, much prefer hands of original A2. Nice edition but not good enough to make owner of original A2 to add ano... 

And the explanation was about the balance of the dial, by giving more presence to the shorter hour hand... The Amvox II and the racing model are 2 different watches, so I think each of them will find their admirers, and in some cases, the same lovers! Bes...

Nicolas, I have to say this probably my favourite "event" post ever. Great cars, fantastic Amvox watches and congenial hosts in the team from JLC & Aston Martin. I have to say I am completely envious of you all - particularly Jerome grabbing a quick dance...

..I was not invited by JLC but by the winner of this edition but I wandered a lot around Aston Martin paddock ! you have spent such good days !!! and this AMVOX is great !! perhaps my future JLC ? My kingdom for a JLC cap and for a JLC-Aston Martin shirt ...

...I was able to feel the vibrations of the cars and hear their roar as they raced around the track. A very good mixture of words and photographs, thank you Nicolas. If I may make a request, please report next on a JLC "outing" to a South Pacific paradise...

Hey Nicolas, Maybe all those JLC badges were bad luck on Rolex grounds. For the Aston Martin cars that is! I'm sorry, I am just extremely jealous at you. I follow Le Mans racing for probably all my life and it is a must thing for me to go there some day. ... 

I love the crying V 8, 10 or 12 Petrol engines, much more demonstrative than the diesels... It's a bit sad, indeed. BUT for AM, all was not good, but excellent, as they were the first Petrol Cars! So, THe Rolex malediction didn't hurt AM! As for the Amvox... 

Nico, do you have any idea of when the AD will be able to deliver the 1st models ? any idea of the price ?

Nicolas, despite this being one of the maddest posts on this forum (it is totally sublime !!!!!) i have some serious remarks. First :In the chopper you look a bit anxious, héhé ... Second: You told us you supported the Aston Martin team but it seems like ...  

So, so, so ... 1/ Wasn't anxious at all, I love Helicopters... THe Air Hostess, even if a bit hairy, was giving us a perfect ervice! 2/ Damn, I've been mistaken! 3/ It is not beer, it is apple juice! But I must agree on one point: I'm an inglorious B...O!...

…and the beginning of the race last Saturday. I’m no specialist on Le Mans but assume the big straight on the upper part of the circuit diagram is the legendary Mulsanne straight, mutilated by two d@#% chicanes. How I wish some mad guy took over the circu... 

Is a big part of the pleasure, of the joy to attend to a car race. It fills your senses in an intense way. The sound of a diesel like this is astonishing in temrs of silence, which is sad if you compare it to the melody of the Aston Martin LMP1 for instan...

I love your pictures and review. Looks like everyone had a good time last weekend. Having looked at the new AMVOX2 pictures extensively, I think I would have preferred the white dial on the black PVD case and the black dial on the polished titanium case. ...

AMVOX2 you own. It's black PVD case and the dial has the silver ring. It looks perfect and the AMVOX2 Racing with the white face will look even more perfect in the black PVD case.

My Friend's Black Amvox II... Mine is the olatinum version. Hence the " need " to get a blakc one! Best, Nicolas

Sorry, Nicolas, I had meant to ask this earlier, but will the PVD'd Racing come with colored chrono levers or silver ones? I believe in one picture the prototype appears to have silver levers and in another orange ones. Am I mistaken somehow? Thanks again... 

These are protos, so things will be improved, of course. Yes, on the 2 black Racing Amvox, one doesn't have the orange Chrono levers, the good one being the orange, of course. Best, Nicolas

Wonderful post, thank you for sharing your experience. My friend, I cannot decide which watch I like better. Intuition says it has to be the PVD, but that white dial looks gorgeous. Any elaboration between the two?
