With or without moonphase, the Triple date, made between the mid 40ies to the Mid Fifties, is certainly to be classified among the most beautiful Vintage JLCs. Better than beautiful, I would say " refined ". Let's focus here on the Triple Date. An extract...  

One thing that struck me...was the finishing of the movement anglages. Very good. Never knew they did this so well 60 years ago.

And to say all, I would love to see that level of finish on modern movements, too! Best, Nicolas

Hi, If I remember well they don't have the same bridge architecture, even if they are apparently based on the same plate. I have no idea if: JLC did it all. JLC furnished all rough parts and VC finished and assembled them. JLC furnished the base plate and... 

... great post with awesome photographs it deserves! I remember seeing it "in the hand" during our meeting. It makes my heart beat faster! I love that black dial and indexes in contrast! What amazes me, is that JLC developed and produced this kind of watc...

A limited batch of the Triple Date with Moonphase was indeed released in the early 80s. The reference is 141.008.1 I always though that the case was the same as the vintage model, except for the engravings. Based on their serial numbers, the movements wer... 

What a beautiful watch! I already told you how much I like this version of the Triple Date. The 2721 is a very nice reference (I though this watch was also referenced as 2904), but your black version is breathtaking, especially in such an pristine conditi...

there was already an alarm in production and they released a TTpolaris, there was already a diver and they delivered a TT Deep sea, so they have a triple calendar and.....as you said a manual movement with exquisite finish.......That would be great. Mo

This is my JLC triple date moon phase. I bought it from South Africa, at first, I thought it was rather small, 35mm without crown, but I fell in Love, what can I say ...

The Triple Date / Triple Date Moonphase (Aka Calendar), and more generally the Teardrop family is what I consider to be vintage Jaeger LeCoultre most refined watches. Not only are they extremely elegant and detailed, but, as you rightly pointed, the level...  

;) Better than words, they perfectly illsutrate the richness of the past production, and the appeal of these Triple Dates. Candy for the eyes, food for the brain, joy for the heart. Best, Nicolas
