Is that a feature or missing parts?

I must say I was underwhelmed with the aesthetics of the True Seconds when I first saw it last night, but these wrist shots from Ambos and the comparison to the TT Geophysic 1958 has me re-evaluating my stance. It's starting to grow on me. But these prices are the real Watches & Wonders in my opinion. $9K for a "basic" watch with date. Yes, there is the true second "complication", but is that really worth a premium when a "regular" continuous sweep seconds hand can provide the same precision and accuracy?
I paid similar for the TT Geophysic 1958 because it was a LE and it was beautiful IMHO. The dial and hands on the original and tribute are crave-worthy. Would I pay the same for a regular production watch that aesthetically to me is not as charismatic and does not have as much character as the TT Geophysic 1958? I don't know at this point. If the price point had been $5 - 6K I would be signing up my name right now. Instead I find myself probably waiting until SIHH 2016 (3 months away!) and Basel 2016 to see the offerings from all the brands.
And $15K for the UT in SS. It's nice, but you are basically paying for the lacquer dial at a $6K premium as others here have argued. My biggest gripe with the UT models are the two highly visible screws on the dial! Couldn't they think of another method to secure the dial without putting "Frankenstein's monster's bolts" on it? They create a stunning World Time dial and then stick two bolts into it. At least make sure that the slots in each screw align with the Prime Meridian and International Dateline markers on the dial, but they aren't. Can't get over that one.
