Well, I got to say that I’ve been quite lucky with my recent JLC acquisitions.
Here’s a new-to-me Extreme Lab 2. What a watch. No need to consider an RM anymore lol.
I remember seeing this piece 10 years ago when it was in boutiques. I could only drool as I did not have the financial means.
Got to say that I was very worried about the size given the dimensions. I probably lost some sleep over this! While it’s a big watch, no doubt, it wears much easier than its 47mm diameter or 54mm lug-to-lug distance would suggest. It kind of reminds me of a panerai 44mm luminor in terms of wrist span, although thicker.
For me, one of the coolest feature is the instantaneous digital chronograph with vertical clutch. It’s like an ALS zeitwerk in another different way. The fact that it’s a vertical clutch system means I can continuously run the chronograph without fear of long term wear.
The other cool feature is the clutch connected with the crown, which is a column wheel, that allows you to select the watch’s function. Oh yeah, the hacking seconds with a selector on the left side of case is also quite awesome.
