Another Beauty
Simple yet strong looking. At the risk of coming off as a Philistine, reminds me of a more refined version of my Rolex Explorer, but the strap gives it a refinement I really like. Since I acquired a Reverso Duo this summer, I'm getting to know the fabulous and surprisingly extensive collection of JLC, a fantastic manufacture
The black Master Control
Nothing much to say except this is a brilliantly made black dial watch that works so well with every day wear, and is really comfortable and practical to wear. The black is also a very attractive shade, a lot to admire here....

Thanks, my friend. Not many manufacturers realize the importance of coherent color schemes. I'm glad this one didn't fail that test.
Fully agree - a white date background would've ruined it!
the other thing they got right was the case dimensions - a very restrained 39mm size with a svelte 9mm case. Only wish the bezel could be a hair slimmer and it would be perfect.

and I agree, I personally HATE white boxes - especially when a brand could have made or purchased at matching date disc and made the look "cleaner." I can't wait until the rose gold version comes out! -Dean

Saw it at Heathrow the other day but then got distracted by a phone call and did not try it on in the end But looks like a spectacular watch - nicely understated, very usable and very, very nice
Sometimes you have to thank those little distractions

I finally saw this watch in person...
It reminds me of how Pateks can sometimes be not particularly impressive, UNTIL they are on the wrist. I hope this level of candor is OK! But I remember seeing a 5070 wg in person years ago... comparing it to a Dato... and finding the Patek a silly joke. ...

This is a watch that looks like a "watch". Nothing spectacular at first glance, except the deep black, but once it's on the wrist, it comes alive.
