Hi Mark,
Hahahaha, I think that is the first time I have ever seen the header and the first few sentences of an article, and thought to myself... "No... don't read it yet... finish your tasks for the day, get everything done, and then savour this!" And I wasn't disappointed one bit, if anything it was more than I was expecting.
I have been looking more and more at Kari's work this year, mainly driven by a GaryG article here as well as many other recent-ish posts...
I've only really seen about 20% of his timepieces apparently, judging by so many new pieces that you have now shown me today!
Absolutely superb timepieces, his work is so clean, symmetrical, and yet artistic in a way. If you take Lange (a brand I know you also love), we would definitely say clean and symmetrical, but the word 'artistic' isnt the first that comes to mind (obviously excluding the special pieces - but thats fine by me, I love Lange for its 'coldness' for want of another word.). Other brands you would say are artistic in their approach, but don't have that 'something scientific' that Langes seem to give me. But Kari's timepieces seem to combine all of the above aspects.
Thanks for a great educative article Mark,
Imran
