Independents

My pelasure :)

Hey Z',

Thanks a lot for your comments it was a pleasure to share with you all here.

I would say it is quite unique in this "industry" as it goes really far in the attention given to finishing quality and the work he is carrying on to bring something new and better in each new watch, yet with a classical but appealing design and a great reliability from what I heard and what I see as he doesn't want to waste time working on watches coming back.

The Observatoire was a very fine first step to me and remains at a great position in his historical "hall of fame" and led to an evolution into the Vingt-8 with 100% of his past experience into one movement. That's is how I see it.

As for my review, in fact I excluded the Vingt-8 (the watch not the movement) and kept only the GMT as it is really a model where we can see many examples of Kari's work.

Thus, remains unused in my post the Vingt-8, the V-8 R (that I love and which PR mechanism seems to be quite unique, I'd like to learn more about that by the way), the Observatoire Day-Night (no GMT), the 2-Eight (with the Vingt-8 movement), and of course the Observatoire.

You're right about limited editions. Among one series, like the Chronograph II for instance, each watch can indeed be different from one another.

That's something I love in his collection. If all the pieces within each series where identical it will certainly not be as interesting and attractive.

Still enjoying your Observatoire ?

Have a nice end of year Z' smile

Cheers, Mark
