Moser Tourbillon, what do you think ❓
By: christianch : January 17th, 2023-20:02
I am considering consolidating a bit my collection. I have the opportunity to acquire a H. Moser Tourbillion Concept in Funky blue (like in the photo). I don't have any tourbillion in my collection so I was thinking it would be something very interesting ...
So subjective.

I happen to think it's phenomenal, but this is anyone's preference........
First and foremost....

the overall beauty and elegance of it (or minimalism if you will), but crucially the tourbillion complication itself . Looking forward to seeing you post pictures of it .... Cheers, Filip

thanks nafels, very interesting points 👏

do tell why moser in the metal was not impressing you ? Also curious about your opinion about tourbillons in general, so far I never bought one as the price seemed a big high vs the practical use of the complication (none? 😅)
I like it, but prefer the vanta black one.

(Moser marketing picture, not mine) I think the danger with tourbillons, especially on the front, is that they stop being entertaining after a while. It is just a cage for the escapement after all ... I like tourbillons by Laurent Ferrier, Ferdinand Berth...
thanks for your feedback FabR 👏

Indeed will post some wristshot soon. I had some experience with the vantablack (no tourbillon version) but the reflex from the glass gives a mirrror effect that I can't stand. Perhaps the tourbillion vantablack is different (it has a difference case) but...
Not a big fan of these dial openings
By: eklektik : January 17th, 2023-21:41
I don't like the openings as I find them frustrating: you can see the tourbillon well, but also partially some wheels and bridges of which you would like to see more. To celebrate the tourbillon complication, the best watches ever are Reversos like pictur...
Its a Moser …

I have this one and absolutely love it … ...
I love it.

This is my moser tourbillon ...
Try it and let it rest for a while

If your mind keeps on thinking to the rotating gizmo, it means that it's the right one 😀 More seriously, as you can see by reading the comments, it's foremost a matter of personal choice. Some are in love with the dial minimalism, other ones are simply an...
Fantastic Moser

Looks really nice. The tourbillon pop up because Moser use that dial.
I believe one tourbillon suits every collection
By: penfriend : January 18th, 2023-08:16
But there are more and less appealing versions and also it must fit with the dial. In your pic I personally don’t like the execution of the tourbillon and also not the sight in this fume dial. For a moser I would opt for a clean dial. For a tourbillon I w...

well, it is a patent by Montblanc called exo-tourbillon
By: penfriend : January 19th, 2023-17:35
the balance wheel is outside the cage, so this allows the combination of a large balance wheel with a smaller cage and the whole construction can now be screwed, leading to three advantages: a) less energy consumption due to small cage, b) more stable ine...
Tough question. Since the Tourbillon has been vulgarized a lot, this 17 last years, I would be very picky. Here, not convinced. If you want a Tourbillon, there are many others which are more interesting, in my opinion.
By: amanico : January 18th, 2023-10:18
See Girard Perregaux with their Tourbillon with bridge(s), a few Ulysse Nardin, some JLCs ( Gyrotourbillon, Reverso Platinum Nr 2 and the skeletonized version ), Breguet and the Messidor or the Tradition and so on...
