I'm honestly not a fan of tourbillons displayed on the dial side (it's technically not a complication....), but Moser dials are so peculiar that I might make an exception, especially for the contrast created with their design purity (for me, a plus :-)

The Vantablack edition is another one that pops up in this sense, as suggested by our friend earlier --- perhaps pushing this whole idea to its limit! smile

Please keep us posted and when you get a chance share your own wristshots, as that might be the moment you'll make a final decision! smile Cheers.

Moser Tourbillon, what do you think ❓

 By: christianch : January 17th, 2023-20:02
I am considering consolidating a bit my collection. I have the opportunity to acquire a H. Moser Tourbillion Concept in Funky blue (like in the photo). I don't have any tourbillion in my collection so I was thinking it would be something very interesting ...

So subjective.

 By: InHavenPro : January 17th, 2023-20:04
I happen to think it's phenomenal, but this is anyone's preference........

First and foremost....

 By: InHavenPro : January 17th, 2023-20:22
the overall beauty and elegance of it (or minimalism if you will), but crucially the tourbillion complication itself . Looking forward to seeing you post pictures of it .... Cheers, Filip

I feel there is a bit too much contrast between that very stark dial and the complicated activity in the tourbillon aperture

 By: cazalea : January 17th, 2023-20:06
It seems like a conceptual distance too far between dial, movement, hands

Yes it is a beautiful dial

 By: cazalea : January 17th, 2023-20:22
Here's the opposite - TOO MUCH going on versus the Tourbillon ...

ah wow really busy !!

 By: christianch : January 17th, 2023-21:01

Definitely try it on first. I liked most Moser watches much better on pictures than on my wrist.

 By: nafetS : January 17th, 2023-20:14
Also, in my opinion, the „flashy“ dials of Moser watches bear a higher risk of becoming nuisance over time. (not sure what the right wording is in english, but i had a Moser watch with a blue fume dial and i couldn‘t look at it anymore after a few months....

thanks nafels, very interesting points 👏

do tell why moser in the metal was not impressing you ? Also curious about your opinion about tourbillons in general, so far I never bought one as the price seemed a big high vs the practical use of the complication (none? 😅)

Well, as said before, this is not true for all Moser watches, but for most I‘ve tried.

 By: nafetS : January 18th, 2023-09:10
When not looking at the dial, but assessing the case and movement irl, a lot of Moser watches felt less refined, more „simple“ and more bulky than I would‘ve thought judging by pictures I had seen before. They really felt like watches made for people cari...

I like it, but prefer the vanta black one.

(Moser marketing picture, not mine) I think the danger with tourbillons, especially on the front, is that they stop being entertaining after a while. It is just a cage for the escapement after all ... I like tourbillons by Laurent Ferrier, Ferdinand Berth...

I'm honestly not a fan of tourbillons displayed on the dial side (it's technically not a complication....), but Moser dials are so peculiar that I might make an exception, especially for the contrast created with their design purity (for me, a plus :-)

thanks for your feedback FabR 👏

Indeed will post some wristshot soon. I had some experience with the vantablack (no tourbillon version) but the reflex from the glass gives a mirrror effect that I can't stand. Perhaps the tourbillion vantablack is different (it has a difference case) but...

Not a big fan of these dial openings

 By: eklektik : January 17th, 2023-21:41
I don't like the openings as I find them frustrating: you can see the tourbillon well, but also partially some wheels and bridges of which you would like to see more. To celebrate the tourbillon complication, the best watches ever are Reversos like pictur...

That's it!

Depends what you are getting rid of for it!

You did mention consolidating!

Its a Moser …

I have this one and absolutely love it … ...

It’s an ostrich strap …

 By: Cpt Scarlet : January 18th, 2023-17:24
Selected the piece leather specifically for it.

I love it.

This is my moser tourbillon ...

It's my favorite watch

 By: shafran : January 18th, 2023-02:49
I wear it the most

Try it and let it rest for a while

If your mind keeps on thinking to the rotating gizmo, it means that it's the right one 😀 More seriously, as you can see by reading the comments, it's foremost a matter of personal choice. Some are in love with the dial minimalism, other ones are simply an...

Fantastic Moser

Looks really nice. The tourbillon pop up because Moser use that dial.

I believe one tourbillon suits every collection

 By: penfriend : January 18th, 2023-08:16
But there are more and less appealing versions and also it must fit with the dial. In your pic I personally don’t like the execution of the tourbillon and also not the sight in this fume dial. For a moser I would opt for a clean dial. For a tourbillon I w...

This one would be tops... ;)

;)

 By: amanico : January 18th, 2023-15:01

nice on the back but in front the tourbillon with the screws (also Lange and some AP have that I think) doesn't look so pleasing..

 By: christianch : January 19th, 2023-10:14
is it because is not a flying tourbillon perhaps? forgive my ignorance..

well, it is a patent by Montblanc called exo-tourbillon

 By: penfriend : January 19th, 2023-17:35
the balance wheel is outside the cage, so this allows the combination of a large balance wheel with a smaller cage and the whole construction can now be screwed, leading to three advantages: a) less energy consumption due to small cage, b) more stable ine...

Tough question. Since the Tourbillon has been vulgarized a lot, this 17 last years, I would be very picky. Here, not convinced. If you want a Tourbillon, there are many others which are more interesting, in my opinion.

 By: amanico : January 18th, 2023-10:18
See Girard Perregaux with their Tourbillon with bridge(s), a few Ulysse Nardin, some JLCs ( Gyrotourbillon, Reverso Platinum Nr 2 and the skeletonized version ), Breguet and the Messidor or the Tradition and so on...

ah thanks or sharing but grey fume not as nice to me as funky blue

 By: christianch : January 19th, 2023-10:15
I have the swiss alp watch in grey fume and the dial is too dark
