Just received this Roger Dubuis Sympathie bi-retrograde moonphase chronograph in RG. It's a 1st gen (2nd edition) which dates back to 2000 when Roger Dubuis was still an Independent and still head of the company. A few years later, he sold the company to the Richemont group.
These early examples are exceptional in quality having had both the Geneva seal and being Observatory Chronometer rated from Besançon. From my recollection, Roger Dubuis himself worked on the early examples which have his signature on the sapphire case back.
It uses a Lemania based 2310 caliber but reworked and finished to the highest standards at the time. I would even go so far as to say it is better finished than my PP 5070G and VC Malte Chrono which use the same movement π€·ββοΈπ
