If you do some research you will see for yourself the genius of the man when he was at Patek for 20 years and when he decided to start RD back in 1995. His early pieces were of the highest quality, arguably better than equivalents pieces from AP, Patek, and VC.
Sadly they did not the recognition they deserved even though they were coveted by a small group of connaisseurs. There is a reference guide which I will send you via WhatsApp so you can see what I mean. His early stuff was AMAZING !!
Comparing the early stuff to today is not really fair as the direction has totally changed. Today's RD is owned by Richemont and resembles more Richard Mille than Patek or Breguet.
I do like several of their pieces and the tech they are using but the emotions I feel with the brand and classic designs have long gΓͺne. I have spoken to several people at RD who have shared some info with me so hopefully we will see something different from them in the near future. Who knows ππ€·ββοΈ
