First of all, thanks for sharing the detailed background info, amazing wealth of knowledge.
I fully agree with you and really like the hands on the original pocket watch, would have been ideal - my first choice.
Also the other you example you posted (syringes hands filled with lume), would have been nice too.
Actually reading to your post and looking at the pictures, I realize that what bothered me wasn’t the fact that the hands were “syringes” but the fact that they were hollowed out.
Finally that brings an interesting thought, also going back to the original post about the LF: doing “simple” design seems so hard because one must get everything totally right - and the simpler the watch, the more critical it gets to get it harmoniously so. For instance in the JLC case, the hands. In the sector dial, how to not interrupt the rail-track…
Maybe one should say less “less is more … and less is also more difficult”???
