Gorgeous watch
I really wanted to snag a piece in tantalum but in the end didn't pull the trigger. With a retail of EUR 165k before taxes and shipping for a chronograph (albeit a sublime and novel movement), I found myself taking a long time to digest that the price is closer to a 5270P (perpetual calendar chrono) than a 5320G (chrono only). By the time i re-checked the tantalum had been sold out.
Congratulations to Gronefeld for a sublime piece though, they really knocked it out of the park.

Looks to be a chronograph with a remontoire that is activated as the chrono hand is reset, allowing it to glide smoothly and slowly to zero. 188 in SS, 25 in tantalum. Good proportions at 40mm diameter and just north of 11mm in thickness. Thoughts? ...

I am not always convinced about their design language but this movement is out of this world! Sublime
There is a lot to like and the movement has a unique beauty, as we expect from them.
However, all the dial text seems misplaced to me. I think they can find a better way to include it without detracting from the overall aesthetic.

There is a lack of balance. The remontoire governor looks squeezed in. The movement is exceptional
Correction:
I don’t believe this is an actual remontoire, but rather a governor that allows a slow and smooth reset of the chrono hand

Truly amazing piece of horology. Will be visiting the brothers the end of this month with 2 friends from WPS 😉. Let's just say I know 5 people getting one of the 25 Tantalum models 😜😍🙉🙈🙈

Dial layout is unconvincing...and now they're just showing off with their movement finishing....

Sure Gronefeld creates a new movement which is commendable but its not a split-second and even lacks a flyback function. I think the slow reset looks cool but is it really that difficult to make? What's the practical purpose of this? Theoretically, a chro...
