I really wanted to snag a piece in tantalum but in the end didn't pull the trigger. With a retail of EUR 165k before taxes and shipping for a chronograph (albeit a sublime and novel movement), I found myself taking a long time to digest that the price is closer to a 5270P (perpetual calendar chrono) than a 5320G (chrono only). By the time i re-checked the tantalum had been sold out. Congratulations to Gronefeld for a sublime piece though, they really knocked it out of the park.
Truly amazing piece of horology. Will be visiting the brothers the end of this month with 2 friends from WPS π. Let's just say I know 5 people getting one of the 25 Tantalum models πππππ

Guess it IS the year of EXCEPTIONAL Chronographs with this GrΓΆnograaf and the MB&F Sequential Evo π₯π₯
I love everything about it and how they took very recognizable (signature even) parts from some of their other movements and incorporated them here. One of my very favorite things about any GrΓΆnefeld is how you could only see the movement and know exactly who made it. Thereβs not only design identity in the movement, but also continuity. Beautiful piece.
