With KV, RS and RG you get much more bespoke type of work. Much more a project, a confidential project, and therefore much more waiting time.
Time does not matter provided the result is great and there is every chance for it to be much more than great. There is much beauty in waiting. There is fewer things more satisfying than knowing that someone is patientietly working on your very own watch. Not just a number...
With KV the sky is the limit as there is almost no limit to what kind of project you might embark upon, possibly much more than a simple time only watch.
If you embark on a project with one of the above-mentioned 3 watchmakers, go and do the effort of meeting the one that you have elected in his very workshop. You won’t regret it and you will be able to understand much more. With knowledge and understanding of what can be done come other type of decisions and of appreciation.

You can definitely pick up from workshop. I don't know of any indis that doesn't welcome that.
But you should take note who speaks fluent English and who only has a basic command of it. Bring along a friend to translate if possible.
Thats the great part of getting a watch from independent brand
