You know, I think you may be right.
I think I might have been confusing my Geneva set clock with the watch on my wrist when I was keeping track of the timekeeping marks.
Afterall, they're about the same size and with middle age presbyopia, my eyes can't tell the difference anymore anyway.

Could that be that on the watch winder the main spring is constantly (almost) fully wound, therefore it has more power and the balance runs at full amplitude, i.e. the period is longer and the watch runs slower? It depends how the watch was regulated, if ...
