I was on Skype with another Purist Guy, two days, ago, and I was telling him how about a Chrono Topic!!!
And you just made it!
1st of all, I think that the Chrono complication is one of the most known of the world...
Each of us, if we think about it, has began with the idea of getting a Chrono as the first nice watch.
For me it was the Rolex Daytona, since a long time...
Then, knowing more about watches, I dreamt of other, as or more historical or mythical, like the Mare Nostrum Panerai
or a Breguet Type XX...
More Technical, as the Chrono Monopusher from Ulysse Nardin...
More Elitist, as the PP 5070, the Lange Dato, or the new to come, the JLC Duo Metre...
More original, like the JLC Amvox II.
More Fashion, like the AP RO City Of Sails...
It's unbelievable as a Chrono can be interpreted in such different ways...That's the interesting thing with this complication..
Last year, I spoke with a guy who works for JLC, and he told me that the complication of the Chrono is more difficult to realize than the complication of a Perpetual Calendar...I fell off my chair!
About your collection, my friend, this is really a stunning one.
The Lange 1815 , in this special and rare version, is amazing.
The IWC are surprising, in this black presentation.
The JLC DBS, well, you know that I love this piece, that it's for me a greatissime watch!!!
The rolex Daytona is one to get, with this difficulty...If you have to choose ony one watch, I'd go on another piece than the Daytona, it may be too show off, quite a fault of taste...As everybody wants one, you'll never know if you want one because everybody has or wants one, or if it's really because you love it...
If you have several watches, the Daytona is one of those to get...
The only reserve is about Panerai...
The Pam 163 is simply a Master Piece, beautiful, with a nice movement inside...
BUT, I'd go on only one piece, in the Panerai Chronos...The Mare Nostrum, the only one to be legitim, due to the History of this model.
What do you miss, in your collection?
I think that you can sell all your pannies, at the exception of the 163, to fund some nice but heavy pieces...
A Mare Nostrum, for example.
But aslo, as you said: A Dato Lange, a Vacheron Malte, a JLC Duo Metre, a Patek 5070...
So many possibilities, so many watches to get...So, that's why I'd try to rationnalize my selection...An original, an elitist, an Historical, a Mythical, etc...Well to sum it, in themas.
Wel, now My Collection...

I will add the JLC Duo metre in platinum, I think the Parmigani Kalpagraph in SS with the black dial, and maybe the PP 5070, and also maybe the VC Malte...And I think I'm rather covered...LOL
