Yes, I think it is a special edition . . .

. . . and while the most interest was generated by this admittedly handsomer model, my preference is for the modest russet dial . . . both come in brushed rose gold, which I much prefer to the polished finish of the original versions. The brushed platinum Navigator version is interesting, but at 44 mm is simply too large for my tastes, and besides, it's a bit of a conundrum . . . in my opinion, a tool watch should be encased in steel (or titanium), so precious metal is pretty much a non-starter. As of this moment, the russet dial is by far and away my favorite "schwere" G O, and I'd love to see a stripped down steel or titanium version introduced at Basel . . . cordially, Art
