As I dive head first into the world of vintage watches, with the acquisition of arguably the most beautiful moon phase watch ever produced (expected delivery next month), I have been pouring through catalogues, magazines, and the internet to satiate my desire to identify my next target. As i do so, I have found that some of the most beautiful watches ever produced by a number of houses, were in fact Triple Calendars, and especially those with a moon phase. For a couple of examples, the Rolex Ref. 8171 Padellone, Vacheron Constantin Triple Date Moonphase Ref. 92232, JLC's Master Date, Ref. 140.140.872, Blancpain's Villeret Triple Date Moonphase Ref. 6501, and the list goes on to include some vintage Triple Date Calendars from houses like Cartier, Omega, and even Breitling and Movado. Although technically not especially sophisticated, aesthetically, I am finding the simple dial layout of these vintage pieces, beautiful, for lack of a more appropriate word. Does anyone here collect Triple Dates? If so, I would love to see them !
