Universal Geneve
Totally forgot to mention Universal Geneve. I have been looking for a good example of a yellow gold Bi-Compax. The Tri-Compax is nice too, but with the chrono function, I think it falls into the Sports watch category. For me, a Triple Calendar in its most iconic, and beautiful state, is a simple moonphase, with the day, month windows, and a central hand pointing to the date. Thanks for posting these two stunning examples of a bygone era.

Your 4240 is simply perfect. There is one with French dates for sale at the VC NY Boutique under their vintage "Collectionneurs" program, fully restored. I must say if I hadn't just bought an IWC 5251, I would snap it up for certain. Thanks for posting.

You are not the only one who thinks Rolex sd remake the 8171. To me, its the most asthetically beautiful object on my wrist. Surpassing even my 5070p. But it is just how it makes me feel. "HAPPY" Best Iceman.
