That's the most interesting thread since a while...
... Missed chatting with you Joe.
Thanks Joe from starting the year by reminding us one of the hardest process watch collectors face : Dilemmas, tough choices, shrinking a collection for budget reasons, funding a piece and being forced to choose this over that, etc...
The natural tendency of collectors is to add new pieces and grow their collection. Now we have to face the reverse mode, and that usually happens only in time of crisis, or when reality bites us.
Now, sometimes, collecting comes to a stage where we just get tired of it all and decide a big "filtering".
I talked this one out so many times with friends, and we came to a conclusion that 5-6 watches well chosen, each special in its category, was enough and all pieces would get the wrist time deserved.
Now if somebody wants to go more extreme, and push it a little more, to just 2 pieces... And ultimately, to a single watch!

)
My 5-6 pieces would be Patek : 5270G/5070P/5960P/5131G/5726A.................. and the AP skeleton Pc in steel.
My 2 pieces would be : 5070P and AP skeleton PC steel
My only piece would be : in steel.... metal strap....timeless and gorgeous..... wearable with a suit, jeans and shirt or bathing suit............................... : The AP skeleton PC
P.s: I've worn last summer, swimming and even shallow diving, no problem at all.
