Making the trade of Seiko and Grand Seiko and wearing out our welcome talking for hours at the airport coffee shop.
BTW, I still have the original Seiko box which I found, lost then found again — if you want it let me know.
Cheers,

Ruminations: Ten Thousand Posts

How could I NOT think about my 10,000th post, and prepare an appropriate response? Unlike some people on this site (and you know who you are!), I have not yet gotten wordy enough to write 10,000 per year (or per month). I seem to write fewer, longer posts...
Wow! Congratulations!

I was at a party in August and when we opened a vintage bottle of champagne it sprayed me and a couple other people. Notice a plethora of Hawaiian attire? My friend Ray loaned me a clean dry shirt. When we went into his closet, I saw two 6-foot rows of Ha...

Ah, you and TJ both, eh?
By: cazalea : October 3rd, 2019-12:08
Congratulations. Did it involve kilts, songs, and lots of toasts? ...
Yes. TJ and I were representing the colonies 😜
By: Bounce781 : October 3rd, 2019-12:16
I wasn’t wearing a kilt but can’t recall what TJ was rocking. He did spend a lot of the evening sitting down, so maybe it was a “kilt with a wardrobe malfunction” situation. 😜 Was nice to finally meet Tom and an interesting evening all round. Let’s just s...
Sorry forgot to say.
By: Bounce781 : October 3rd, 2019-12:19
Oh, yes! Quite a few toasts. “The Queen”, Princes Phillip, members of the Royal Family, Major Of the City Of London (not to be confused with Mayor of London); the Guilds and Companies Of London, to the Luxembourg Navy...😀 Quite a few toasts 😀
I like it a lot

Congrats on this major milestone... No one ever celebrates my x000 posts, I must be unpopular here and pissed off people with my direct and jokes, lololol..
We are terrified by your voracious appetite(s)
By: cazalea : October 2nd, 2019-16:51
Actually when looking at all that fine food, who can bother to glance at the counter by your name? Seriously, I think 1000, 5000, 10,000 are the ones that we notice. Or maybe 200,000 in the case of Nicolas How's the Northwest -- still cold and record-brea...
You’re too kind...and humorous Mike, haha.
By: Clueless_Collector : October 2nd, 2019-17:02
PNW is great 👍🏻, it’ll be like California in 20 years, just “watch” the wineries coming up north. You might want to think about “Time to move”...wait, Swatch’s not watching here right? Cheers
Congratulations.

Congrats on your 10k milestone Mike.

To reach 10k here may not be easy versus even 500k posts (has Nicolas reached that or exceeded 😬) You will have to remain loyal and not sway to other forums or sites Best wishes Cheers

I am jealous of that beautiful lakeside retreat you enjoy. There is nothing like a midwestern lakeside summer evening... Of course nothing like walking through Detroit on a winter morning either, with the wind ripping off the lake ... Cheers, Mike

We need to do that again...and if it involves more Grand Seiko's all the better ;-) The Seiko is a representation of friendship to me and will be treasured. We'll work out the box logistics at some point when I do make it over again, my friend.
