I would add that taking watch pictures is like many other things in life, a question of mood. you will never take good pictures if you are not in the good mood for that. Very interesting! Best, Nicolas

Yes I think we are very fortunate to take part in this interest. I always see those who discover this passion about themselves as the lucky ones.

Thanks for this - I enjoyed reading it, and it actually helped me understand some of the things I find hard to explain when I do it. Now I have a good reference and whenever someone asks me why I take so many pictures of my watches, I can articulate it be...

Hi Nilo. There are a handful of Purists on here that definitely have their own signature style when it comes to their watch photos. You can immediately identify their photos in the mix and you are one of them. Jocke's have regalness, Nicolas' have wittine...

You should get her involved and ask her to pose for wrist shots. Tell her that her wrist looks more elegant than yours.

Guilty as charged. And I can ruin the perfect sunset, or moment, bu reaching for the watch, the iPhone or camera, and start taking pictures of the wrist rather than the loved one! We probably all need help: but then that is what we are here for! Lovely re... 

for example, why when we see the watch at sunset do we feel compelled to photograph the watch rather than the sunset? "Sad" in the English vernacular is not unhappy; just diminished or pitiful in action! Andrew H

Howabout a wrist shot WITH the loved one?

I often stop in the middle of the pathway or garden or beach or mall to take wristshots (instead of selfies i call these wristies) and often get stares from the public lol! But I don\'t care as I love watches and capturing them on photos when I feel like ...
